Orbital TIG welding is a special type of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding. The main distinguishing feature is the partial mechanization of the process. The electric arc moves along a circular path (orbit) around the fixed pipe or pipe fitting during the welding process.

The welding tool is an orbital welding head with a tungsten electrode. The applied pulsed technology combined with the most modern control technology allows controlled handling of the weld pool in all positions.
